Helps to detoxify the body, can help lose weight and even slows the ageing process. Helps strengthen the immune system and blocks the bad bacteria from entering your intestines.
Green tea can even help with your smile. Just like it kills off other bacteria in your body, Green tea has been proven to kill of plaque and help keep your teeth healthy.
It is also high on the list of cancer fighting foods. The catechin content in green tea is high. Catechin has proven to kill cancer cells, without harming healthy tissue.
In Ancient China, Green tea was used to help with head aches and depression. Seems almost like they were wasting the potential.
The reason Green tea is so good for you is because of the antioxidants. Green tea contains the most powerful of all the antioxidants, polyphenols. It’s understood that it is because of the polyphenols, that makes the green tea so beneficial.
In a study, it was found that by feeding mice which had Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s polyphenols, it helped stopped brain cells from dieing, as well as helping already dead brain cells.
The only side effect that seems to occur is insomnia. But this is only in very rare cases due to Green tea having less caffeine then coffee.
